Okay, my friend is doing this personal history project and I think it is a super fun idea. So, I am going to do it too...hopefully you'll enjoy it as well.
Challenge #1---If you were forced to go back in time to the olden days, but were allowed to take ten modern conveniences with you, what would you take?
**The first thing I'd have to take would be running water...think showers and flushing toilets.
**Number two would be the refrigerator; I don't want to worry about rotting food.
**If I'm going to have a fridge then I guess number three would be electricity. After all I can't run the fridge without it.
**Fourth would be all the modern advances of medicine. I would have lost both of my babies without it...nuff said.
**I guess number five would be cars...I like to be able to go really far in a short period of time. Three months to cross the country by wagon and feet would drive me nuts!
**My sixth option would be prescription glasses...I don't know how long they've been around, but I can't see without them...so I've got to put them on my list.
**Lucky number seven has to be readily available books. I love to read! I NEED my books! So, I would need to have printing presses in my 'olden days'.
**While it may seem like a boring choice, number eight would have to be my stove. I really don't want to figure out how to cook bread over an open flame.
**I guess if I'm going to have running water, then number nine better be a plumber so that I can keep my water running.
**Likewise, number ten better be an electrician to keep my stove and fridge running.
